It Lives

Artist "nClaire" sculpted this disturbing example of a zombie prawn. The very idea of arthropods being vulnerable to the infection is absolutely terrifying. Flesh eating undead humans? No problem. Swarms of biting insects carrying the zombie virus? Nightmarish.

Amazing. I see things like this and just want to collect all my art supplies and chuck them in the dumpster.

This is probably a result of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico last year. Oh look, the oil all magically disappeared … well maybe not. Cthulhu couldn’t have made a better mess.

Presuming that a virus could jump from phylum to phylum, we would really be in trouble just like in the satire Return of the Living Dead where even dead and pinned butterflies on a display board start flapping. Favorite quote, “send more cops”.

Must resist the urge to shout "Spawn more Overlords!"

Oh. Damn.

Prawns are insect, now? I thought they were more related to spiders.
